Sarah Zetler
Sarah Zetler is a Consultant Clinical Psychologist with 20 years experience of treating adults with emotional difficulties. She has worked in both in-patient and out-patient hospital settings, in community organisations and in private practice. Sarah has a strong interest in how the mind and the body function together and affect each other. This interest has been supported and developed through her work in the NHS, where she leads a specialist mental health service that treats people who are struggling with both mental health and physical health problems. Sarah has many years experience of working with issues relating to sex and sexuality, including people who may be engaging in compulsive behaviour often in the context of drug/alcohol use.
Sarah is well versed in providing both long-term therapy and brief interventions where the focus may be on stabilisation or returning to a high level of functioning following a difficult life event.
Sarah is research active and publishes in peer reviewed journals and has contributed to national guidelines. She is an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society, a member of the Division of Clinical Psychology and is registered as a Practitioner Psychologists with the Health and Care Professions Council. Sarah’s therapeutic approach is integrative and she is proficient in applying theories that relate to both the field of psychotherapy and clinical psychology.
